1. Collection Cells and Ionizers

The collection cells and ionizers are the heart of every MistBuster® electrostatic air cleaner.

When cleaned on a regular maintenance schedule, they can last for many years. However, improper cleaning, physical damage, electrical arcing, or years of continuous operation can eventually damage these components.

Common issues include:

• Loose collection cell plates
• Broken insulators
• Electrical arcing damage
• Damaged  or carbon tracked contacts
• Excessive corrosion causing pitting or erosion of plates.
