What Do Our Best-Fit Clients Look Like?

What do our best-fit clients look like

Air filtration equipment and services are an enormous category; not everyone looking for air filtration is our best-fit client.

What Industry Is Our Best Fit?

Bee Clean started in 1977 as a general steam cleaning service, but within a few years, it found a niche in cleaning electrostatic collection cells. As we grew, we narrowed our focus to specifically electrostatic filters used by industrial clients. We found that customers who used this type of filtration were often in the screw machining and cold heading markets and later in CNC machining, especially Swiss-type lathes.

Today, our best-fit clients are those that produce heavy smoke loads and are either looking for a system to capture the smoke or already have a system that they need maintenance on. Some of our best customers are in the following industries.

Cold forming – Coldheading companies still make up the most significant part of our customer base, and we have been working with some of these companies for decades to help them collect and filter the thermally generated oil smoke created in the cold forming process.

Swiss Lathes – With their high spindle speeds and coolant pressures, Swiss lathes can create an enormous amount of smoke and mist. We help maintain the air filtration equipment of many machine shops using Swiss lathes for high-precision medical and aerospace parts.

Centerless Grinding – Centerless grinding is a challenging application because of the high concentration of submicron smoke particles and the grinding mud made up of particles of the grinding wheel and the material being ground. Many grinding companies in the Chicago and Detroit areas rely on us to provide clean air.

Cutting Tools – The grinding of hardened cutting tools, using machines like Ancas and Walter grinders, creates a lot of coolant smoke and mist, and we help some of the biggest manufacturers achieve clean air, such as OSG, Ceratizit, Onsrud, and GWS cutting tools.

Plastics and Rubber – Plastics and rubber manufacturing contains a wide range of processes, but some of them create a lot of oil smoke. These smoky processes include blow molding, extrusion, vulcanizing, hot embossing, and heat forming.

What Equipment Is Our Best Fit?

Bee Clean Specialties started as a service company for electrostatic filters, which is still our business’s core. We have also expanded to offer replacement media filters, and the design and installation of electrostatic and fiber-bed media air filtration systems.

We install new and used equipment and carry multiple brands to match your needs best. The main types of equipment that we sell are SmogHog, Absolent, MistBuster, and TriMist. We service these brands, as well as most other electrostatic filtration brands and many media air filtration brands, especially for collecting wet particulates.

What Company Size Is Our Best Fit

We serve a wide range of company sizes, from large corporations like Gerdau, ITW, Berry Global, and Freudenberg to small machine shops with just a handful of machines. The company’s size does not directly relate to how good of a client they are for us. It correlates more with the number of machines/processes making smoke. A good customer for us could be a machine shop with ten swiss machines, or an international fastener manufacture with multiple plants and hundreds of cold headers.

Where Is Our Best Fit Client Located?

We have service centers in the Chicago and Detroit area. The further away you are, the more air cleaners are needed for us to cost-effectively service them. We frequently service customers in Milwaukee, Cleveland, Rockford, and throughout Northern Indiana, and can service customers up to five hours away from either of our locations, as long as the customer has enough equipment that it is cost effective to do so.
